Ice Cream Anyone?

As we now have a surplus of milk, cream, and eggs, we have been making (and consequently eating) alot of ice cream. It makes a fun lunch or supper! We don't have an official ice cream freezer, I just blend it up, stick it in the freezer, then run it through the food processor to make it creamy before we eat it. YUM!

Vanilla Ice Cream
2 large eggs
3/4 cup sugar
2 cups whipping cream
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Mix all in blender or food processor and freeze.

We have also added straberries or coconut. Chocolate is next.

A Promise Kept

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Are You Dirt or Clay?

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground

When he was speaking this morning, he talked about us being dirt. I got to thinking about that. It is true. By washing us in Living Water or Sacrificial Blood, we become clay that He can fashion into a usable vessel for His service. Have you ever tried building anything with dirt? Really doesn't hold it's shape. Add some liquid and it becomes clay that will take on any shape the potter wishes. And become stronger as it is tried by fire.

Isaiah 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Last week, after months of lamb bleating, er, pleading, we went and picked up 4 kittens for a couple of the lambs from a local dairy.

This morning as I was milking Belle, a lamb came up and asked, "Are these just plain pets or are we gonna eat 'em when they get bigger?"

"They probably won't have much meat on them," I answered.

With a tinge of disappointment in the lamb's voice, "I guess they'll just be plain ole pets then."

Not necessarily a disappointment to some of us.

P.S. The same little lamb inquired as to how we would skin the cats if we were going to eat them.

P.P.S. This lamb is not The Boy!
