We thougth we were going through a heat wave this morning as we woke up it was in the low 60s and bright sunshine. However, within an hour, the temps were in the low 20s and now it is snowing. What was that someone said about the weather here, if you don't like it, just wait a few minutes?
Update: It's now 4 with the wind chill. Burr!

I was out looking around the barn today checking out an area for the dairy goats I hope to get in the spring. It is a gorgeous day here today, we are actually wearing short sleeves. I look down the hill where Ronnie is cutting fire wood and a beautiful bald eagle is soaring above him. Apparently, Stockton Lake has more than 100 bald eagles that spend the winter here, right in our back yard. Majestic in flight, I am reminded of the scripture in Isaiah 40:31
"but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

When we moved to town, the realtor took our picture and Ronnie joked that they were going to put it in the paper. Joke is on us! They did! The librarian asked if we were getting settled in. We went to a town about 10 miles away today and Rachel overheard the ladies talking about who we were, what we were doing up here and where we were from. When we went to the grocery store here in town today, the lady bagging our groceries said, "Aren't you that family from Texas that moved up here to do that church thing." The cashier responded with, "Yeah, over at that church in Lamar." I just don't know about this celebrity stuff.
